Laborer/Maintenance - ForestryPosting Closes: 4/1/2015
The City of Fargo Forestry department is seeking responsible individuals for Temporary and Seasonal outdoor and physical positions, working 40 hours per week from approximately April 14 through October 30, 2015. Employees will assist with summer brush pick-up service (CDL permit with air brake endorsement is required within 2 weeks of start date), provide support for full-time arborist staff, general maintenance of demonstration gardens, maintenance and care of small and medium size trees including planting, watering, weed control, mulching, and pruning. Other forestry related activities, including some overlap, for all positions as required. Individual must be able to effectively interact with public and co-workers. Police Support Specialist (2)Posting Closes: 4/10/2015
Work in an exciting and progressive law enforcement setting at the Fargo Police Department as a Police Support Specialist. The department is recruiting for two positions, (1) evenings and (1) nights. The evening shift will be Sun-Thur 3:30pm to 12am. The night shift will be Mon-Fri 12am to 8:30am. On the application indicate if you are applying for both shifts (evenings and nights) or just one of the shifts.

This civilian position works closely with law enforcement personnel while performing administrative/clerical/office activities to assist the department with records management and the general public. Position requires: high school diploma/GED, one year of specialized technical training in secretarial/office administrative skills and three or more years of previous administrative support experience or combination of edu/exp to successfully perform essential duties which include transcription and demonstrated Windows and Microsoft Suite computer skills.
